The Youth Accelerated STEAM & Life Skills Cohort is an exciting, hands-on program designed to engage young people in Compton, CA, through a combination of STEAM education, personal development, and sportsmanship. Hosted at Burrell McDonald and Kelly Park, this 8-week program offers biweekly workshops where participants will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), develop valuable life skills, and learn cricket, an exciting sport that promotes teamwork and discipline.
Program Details:
Over the course of 8 weeks, youth participants will engage in a variety of workshops focused on both STEAM and personal development. These interactive sessions will not only provide participants with technical skills in areas like coding, robotics, and digital arts, but also teach critical life skills such as communication, problem-solving, emotional resilience, and leadership.
